Cylinder Boxes for Biscuits, Cookies and Crackers
Breakage is the quiet cost line in a biscuit business: product that leaves the plant whole and arrives as crumbs turns into returns, credits and poor reviews. ArtasPack manufactures custom printed cylinder boxes and cardboard tubes for biscuit, cracker, cookie and wafer brands. The round body distributes external pressure around its wall instead of concentrating it in four corners, which gives measurably better crush resistance than an equivalent folding carton at the same board weight. It also gives you an uninterrupted print surface, so the pack works as hard on the shelf as it does in the pallet. Diameters run from 32 mm to 195 mm, with height set to your stack or fill.

Why choose a cylinder box for biscuits?
1. Radial strength against breakage
A cylinder behaves like an arch under load. Pressure applied to the wall is redirected around the circumference, so the pack resists vertical and radial crushing far better than a corner dependent box. Body wall thickness runs from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm in high density board, selected against your fill weight and stacking plan. In a pallet, in a courier network and in a shop crate, that structural integrity is what keeps flow wrapped biscuits and stacked cookies intact. Fewer broken units means fewer credits and less unplanned rework.
2. A full 360 degree print surface
There is no dead area on a cylinder: the design runs continuously around the body, so recipe story, ingredient claims and brand marks all get room without competing for a front panel. Offset and digital printing deliver photographic reproduction of the product itself. For premium tiers, hot foil stamping, embossing, spot UV and soft touch lamination are available through our printing partners. Board lids can be plug fit or telescopic, and window versions in the body or lid let the biscuit sell itself.
3. Sized to your stack, not to a shelf standard
We tool to the product. Diameter is set from your biscuit or wafer footprint, height from the number in the stack, whether the product is loaded vertically as a column or laid flat in layers. That reduces headspace, which is the other main cause of movement damage in transit. Macarons, crackers, shortbread rounds and wafer sticks each need a different internal fit, and we provide technical drawings so your line can confirm handling and case count before tooling starts.
Sustainability and materials
ArtasPack has produced cardboard tubes and cylinder boxes in Hadımköy, Istanbul since 1986, in a 6,000 m² plant twenty minutes from Istanbul Airport. Winding, labelling, die cutting and assembly are in house; printing and finishing of printed paper go through our printing partners. The board is recyclable in normal paper streams and is a paper alternative to plastic and tinplate biscuit packaging. FSC® certified paper (C184527) is available on request. Cylinder boxes are also frequently kept and reused as household storage, which keeps your brand visible after the product is eaten.

Frequently asked questions
Our standard production is secondary packaging, so biscuits should be in a primary pack such as a flow wrap, cellophane sleeve or barrier bag before they go into the box, which is also what protects freshness through the moisture and oxygen barrier. These boxes are supplied as secondary packaging rather than as food-contact packaging. Where a direct contact construction is required, the interior can be specified with a food grade aluminium foil or PE liner; ask our sales team so the liner specification is agreed in writing before tooling.
The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces per design and size, which supports boutique bakeries as well as national brands. Capacity reaches up to 40,000 cardboard tubes per day, so seasonal and promotional volumes can be produced in one run. Lead time is from four weeks after sample approval. Projects that need a new diameter or a custom die should allow additional time for tooling.
Diameters range from 32 mm to 195 mm across our die inventory, and height is adjustable to the millimetre. We work back from the volume and orientation of your biscuit, cracker, cookie, macaron or wafer, whether stacked vertically or laid in layers, and provide technical drawings so you can confirm the optimum internal dimensions before we commit tooling. Send a sample of the finished product and we will propose the closest efficient format.
Yes. We supply the die line and cutting template for your box and help your designers position artwork on it, including bleed and the wrap overlap. Physical samples are available printed or unprinted so you can assess print quality, board feel, lid fit and the actual behaviour of your product inside the pack. We recommend running your own transit test with filled samples before signing off a courier or retail specification.
