Collagen and Supplement Packaging in Paper Tubes

Collagen sells on trust, and the pack is where that trust starts. In a category crowded with identical plastic jars, a paper based cylinder reads as premium before the consumer has read a single claim. Our composite cans do more than look better than plastic. A food grade aluminium foil and PE liner, combined with heat sealed peel-off membranes and tight fitting lids, protects hygroscopic powders from moisture, oxygen and heat across the whole shelf life. ArtasPack has been winding cardboard tubes in Istanbul since 1986, in diameters from 32 mm to 195 mm, so we can match your scoop size, dose count and filling line without you redesigning the product.

Collagen supplement boxes

Why choose a paper tube for collagen and supplements?

1. A full barrier against moisture and oxygen

Collagen peptides and protein powders are hygroscopic: they pull moisture out of the air, which causes caking, loss of potency and microbial risk. Our composite cans for supplements are built in layers. The food grade aluminium foil and PE inner liner reduces gas and moisture transfer to near zero, and a heat sealed foil or metal peel-off membrane seals the product at filling and locks freshness in.
You get the protection level of a plastic or glass jar in a far better looking format.

2. Move away from plastic

Conscious consumers and EU regulation are both pushing supplement brands off virgin plastic, and leading collagen brands have already shifted large parts of their range to paper based packs. Our cylinders are wound from board and wrapped in FSC® certified paper (C184527), with recycled fibre and biodegradable options where the barrier specification allows. The result supports an eco-premium positioning and is designed to meet the requirements of the EU’s PPWR, which matters if you sell into more than one European market.

3. 360 degrees of shelf and social presence

The cylinder gives you one uninterrupted surface for the brand story, with no panel breaks and no folded corners. On a shelf of rectangles it creates a visual break that stops the eye.
Through our printing partners you can specify offset print, hot foil, embossing and spot UV, and textured papers that invite the consumer to pick the pack up. The same qualities make the pack perform in unboxing content, which is where most collagen brands now win or lose the acquisition cost argument.

Sustainability and quality standards

Quality and environmental responsibility are handled in the same specification, not in separate conversations. Our paper carries FSC® chain of custody certification (C184527), and the same scrutiny applies to lamination adhesives and inks: we prioritise food contact suitable, low migration components and soy based inks over solvent heavy alternatives. Where a barrier is not required, dispersion coating replaces plastic film so consumers can separate and recycle the pack easily. That is what our better planet packaging approach means in practice.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, in the high barrier composite construction. The aluminium foil liner and heat sealed peel-off membrane give a high level of moisture and oxygen resistance, so the powder does not cake and the active content stays stable through the declared shelf life. Standard uncoated cardboard tubes do not do this, which is why we specify the barrier build for any powder filled directly into the can.

You can fill directly. The inner liner is a food contact suitable PE/aluminium/PE laminate, so collagen, protein powder and vitamins go straight into the can with no additional plastic pouch, which removes both the material cost and a step on your filling line. If your format needs sachets or sticks, the same cylinder works as secondary packaging and we design the internal fit around your sachet count.

Minimum order quantity is 1,000 pcs per design. Lead time starts at 4 weeks from artwork approval and depends on quantity, barrier specification and finishing. Diameter and height are made to your product, so send us your fill weight, bulk density and dose count and we will propose the closest can size before quoting.

Yes. Printed and unprinted samples are available so you can run a fill trial, check membrane sealing on your own line and confirm the label wrap in real light. We also supply the die-line template for your chosen diameter and height and help you position artwork on it, including barcode zone, seam allowance and the mandatory nutrition and allergen panels.
