Cylinder Boxes for Herbal Tea and Wellness Infusions

Herbal and wellness teas are bought on trust, so the pack has to look as careful as the blend inside it. ArtasPack produces printed cylinder boxes and cardboard tubes for loose leaf infusions, pyramid sachet cartons, matcha sets and tasting gift packs. The wound board wall blocks light completely, which protects colour, essential oils and antioxidant value far better than a window carton, and it shields brittle leaves, flowers and fruit pieces from crushing in transit and in stacked storage. Diameters run from 32 mm to 195 mm with height cut to your fill volume, and you can close the box with a rolled edge paper lid, a straight edge metal lid in gold, silver or black, or a telescopic board lid.

Why a cylinder box for herbal tea?

1. Protection for a fragile product

Whole leaves, flowers and fruit pieces break easily, and broken tea reads as old tea. The multi layer wound wall of our cylinder boxes acts as armour in transit and in stacked storage, spreading load around the circumference instead of collapsing at a corner. The opaque board blocks light completely, so colour, essential oils and antioxidant content survive a long shelf life.
Used over your primary pouch or sachet, the box keeps the aroma sealed in until the consumer opens it, and a tight lid fit stops the pack working loose on the shelf.

2. Clean label, clean packaging

A wellness buyer reads the pack before the ingredient list. Our cylinder boxes are made from paper and board that recycle in ordinary paper streams, which supports your plastic reduction targets without giving up shelf presence. FSC® certified paper (C184527) is available, so a natural and clean label claim is backed by a chain of custody rather than a word on a sleeve, and the construction is designed to meet the requirements of the EU’s PPWR. Consumers keep these boxes for tea, spices or small storage, which quietly extends the life of your brand at home.

3. Print, finishes and lid styles

The cylinder gives you an uninterrupted 360 degree surface for botanical illustration, brewing instructions and origin story, with no corner cutting through the design. Through our printing partners you can specify offset CMYK or Pantone, hot foil stamping, embossing, spot UV and matt, gloss or soft touch lamination, on an uncoated kraft surface for a natural look or coated board for vivid colour. The lid completes the character: a rolled edge paper lid, a straight edge metal lid in gold, silver or black, or a telescopic board lid that slides closed.

Specifications, materials and certification

Diameters run from 32 mm to 195 mm, with height made to your fill volume, covering loose leaf tea, pyramid sachet cartons, matcha sets, gift sets and launch promotions. Inside, a white paper liner suits secondary packaging and a barrier liner is available where tea is filled directly. ArtasPack has wound cardboard tubes in Hadımköy, Istanbul since 1986, in a 6,000 m² plant, using paper under FSC® chain of custody (C184527), water based adhesives and low migration inks. Winding, labelling, die cutting and assembly are in house; printing is handled by our printing partners.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The boxes are designed first as secondary packaging, so tea held in its own primary pouch, sachet or foil bag is fully protected inside them. Where you want to fill the box directly, we specify a food grade inner liner, either a coated paper liner or an aluminium and PE barrier, and confirm it against your product and shelf life before tooling. Tell us which route you are taking and we will quote the matching construction.

The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces per design and size, with lead time from four weeks after artwork approval. That level suits boutique tea brands launching a single blend, while capacity of up to 40,000 tubes per day covers industrial programmes and seasonal peaks. Send us the diameter, height, lid type and quantity you have in mind and we will confirm price and schedule in the quotation.

Yes. We supply the die line and cutting template for your chosen diameter and height and help your design team position artwork correctly, including bleed, seam overlap and the lid wrap, plus advice on where foil, embossing and spot UV will actually work. Printed and unprinted samples are available, and before a production run we prepare an approved pre-production sample so you can judge board texture, colour and print finish in the hand.

It depends on the format. Loose leaf blends of 50 g to 150 g usually sit in a 65 mm to 90 mm diameter with a straight edge metal lid, which reseals well and signals premium. Pyramid sachet packs favour a taller body with a telescopic board lid. Gift and tasting sets use larger diameters up to 195 mm with board dividers inside. A rolled edge paper lid is the most economical fully recyclable option.
