Candle & Home Fragrance Boxes
A consumer meets a candle or a reed diffuser through its packaging long before the scent. In a crowded home fragrance market you need a pack that carries the story on the shelf and, just as important, delivers a heavy glass vessel intact. ArtasPack has wound cardboard tubes in Istanbul since 1986 and produces printed cylinder boxes for candle and home fragrance brands, from studio makers to national retail programmes. The wound board body spreads impact around the curve instead of concentrating it at a corner, wall thickness runs from 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm, and the internal diameter is cut to your jar so nothing rattles. Board and foam fitments hold glass bottles and reed sticks in place, with diameters from 32 mm to 195 mm.

Why a cylinder box for candles and home fragrance?
1. Arch strength against breakage
Square boxes fail at the corners. A wound cylinder works on the arch principle: external pressure is distributed along the whole curve, so the wall carries the load instead of folding. Reinforced board 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm thick makes a measurable difference to heavy glass candle jars in parcel networks, where drops and vibration cause most damage claims.
We cut the internal diameter to your vessel for a snug fit, then add a board or foam base pad so the glass cannot move. Less movement means less energy reaching the glass.
2. Plastic free luxury
Zero waste is now a purchase driver in home fragrance, and the pack is where the claim gets judged. Compared with laminated magnet closure gift boxes or plastic blisters, our cylinder boxes are made from paper and board that recycle in ordinary paper streams, assembled with water based adhesives. FSC® certified paper (C184527) is available, inks are selected free of heavy metals, and the construction is designed to meet the requirements of the EU’s PPWR. For a brand built on natural wax and essential oils, the packaging should not be the plastic part of the story.
3. Finishes, closures and inserts
The cylinder is one continuous canvas with no corner breaking the artwork. Through our printing partners you can specify hot foil stamping, embossing and debossing, spot UV and soft touch lamination, the finishes that make a buyer want to pick the pack up. Closures include a telescopic board lid, a tinplate metal lid protected with anti-corrosion lacquer, an easy peel membrane for pourable products, and a rolled edge paper lid. Inside, EVA foam, flocked foam or die cut board separators keep a diffuser bottle and its reed sticks apart in transit.
Specifications, materials and certification
Papers are sourced under FSC® chain of custody (C184527) from responsibly managed forests, adhesives are water based and inks are free of heavy metals, with the construction designed to meet the requirements of the EU’s PPWR. Wall thickness runs from 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm and diameters from 32 mm to 195 mm, covering tealight and votive sizes through three wick jars, diffuser sets and room spray cartons. A food grade aluminium or oil barrier liner is available where wax or fragrance touches the board. Telescopic bodies nest in transport, which cuts shipped volume and carbon per unit.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. The cylinder is one of the strongest geometries under pressure, because load runs along the curve rather than into four vulnerable corners. We build the internal diameter to your jar so the glass cannot travel inside the box, then add foam or board cushions at the base and, where needed, at the shoulder. Impact and vibration are absorbed before they reach the glass. For humid destinations we can integrate a silica gel sachet.
With a die cut board insert. The insert locks the heavy glass bottle in position and creates a separate housing for the rattan sticks alongside or above it, so the sticks cannot snap or strike the bottle. A cylinder also frees you from seating the bottle at the very bottom of the box. If you prefer, we build a supporting platform that positions the bottle high, so your customer reaches it immediately on opening rather than digging for it.
The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces per design and size, and lead time starts at four weeks from artwork approval. For higher volume programmes the metal lid construction is usually the most economical route, since it is a single piece closure and needs less hand finishing than a telescopic lid. Send us your jar dimensions, target quantity and launch date and we will confirm price, tooling and schedule together.
Yes. We supply the die line and cutting template for your chosen diameter and height and help your designer place artwork on it, including bleed, seam overlap and the lid wrap. Printed and unprinted samples are available so you can test the fit with your own filled jar, check the insert clearance and judge foil, embossing and soft touch finish in the hand. Send us two sample vessels and we will verify the internal diameter first.
