Custom Cylinder Boxes and Cardboard Tubes for Wine Bottles
A wine buyer forms an opinion of your bottle before the cork moves. ArtasPack manufactures custom printed cylinder boxes and cardboard tubes for still, sparkling and fortified wine, built to carry a premium print finish and to survive export logistics. The spiral wound body follows the line of the bottle and spreads stacking and impact loads around the wall instead of concentrating them on a corner, which is where a folding carton usually fails. Wall thickness runs from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm and diameters from 32 mm to 195 mm, so Bordeaux, Burgundy and magnum formats sit snug rather than rattling. Bodies are available in FSC certified board, finished with hot foil, embossing, spot UV or soft touch lamination.

Why a cylinder box for wine?
1. Protection built into the geometry
Glass breaks at the corners, and a folding carton has four of them. Our bodies are spiral wound from high tensile kraft layers to a wall thickness of 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm, so pressure from stacking, clamping or handling is distributed around the full circumference instead of loading one edge. The closed cylinder also works as a light and temperature barrier, slowing the oxidation that a lit retail shelf accelerates. Where a bottle is loose in its cavity, we design board inserts and base pads that stop it moving inside the box on long export legs.
2. Eco luxury you can document
Premium drinks brands are moving to paper based secondary packaging, and a cylinder box gets you there without losing shelf impact. Body, ends and inserts are paper and board, so the pack stays recyclable in normal paper streams. FSC certified stock (C184527) is available on request, together with soy based inks and biodegradable lamination films in place of standard plastic laminates. Board fitments replace expanded plastic inserts. The construction is designed to meet the requirements of the EU’s PPWR, which matters if you are shipping into the single market.
3. A 360 degree surface for the brand
The cylinder gives you one uninterrupted print area with no corner to break the artwork. Available finishes include hot foil stamping in gold, silver, black or copper, embossing and debossing, spot UV, matt or gloss lamination and soft touch coating, produced with our printing partners from your supplied files. Diameters run from 32 mm to 195 mm and heights are cut to your bottle, so a snug fit is a tooling question rather than a compromise. Closures include telescopic paper lids, metal ends and curled edge rims.
Quality, materials and certification
ArtasPack has produced cardboard tubes and cylinder boxes in Hadımköy, Istanbul since 1986, from a 6,000 m² plant twenty minutes from Istanbul Airport. Winding, labelling, die cutting and assembly are done in house; printing and finishing of printed paper are handled by our printing partners. FSC® certified paper (C184527) is available under chain of custody. Adhesives used on the inner layers are selected to be odour neutral, so nothing transfers to the cork or to the aroma of the wine. Printed and unprinted samples are produced before every run.

Frequently asked questions
Our minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces per design and size. Lead time is from four weeks once artwork and the physical sample are approved. Volumes for industrial filling lines are quoted on the same tooling, so a limited edition and a core listing can share one body diameter.
Yes, and measurably better than a flat carton of comparable weight. The spiral wound wall and the closed cylindrical form spread vertical and lateral pressure around the circumference rather than into a corner. It is not indestructible, but breakage in export shipping is consistently lower. We also design board or foam inserts that immobilise the bottle so it cannot move inside the box.
Yes. Beyond the standard 750 ml formats we tool for magnum, half bottle and bespoke bottle designs. Diameters are available from 32 mm to 195 mm and heights are cut to your specification for a snug fit. Send us bottle drawings or two sample bottles and we will confirm the internal diameter before tooling.
Yes. We supply the die line and cutting template for your box and help your designers place the artwork correctly on it. Before production we prepare physical samples, printed or unprinted, so you can check print quality, board texture and how the bottle actually sits in the box.
