Cylinder Boxes and Cardboard Tubes for Textile and Apparel Brands

Apparel sells online, which means the pack has to survive a courier network before it ever impresses anyone. ArtasPack has been making custom printed cardboard tubes and cylinder boxes since 1986, and apparel brands use them for t-shirts, underwear and lingerie sets, socks, ties and scarves. A rolled garment in a wound board cylinder resists crushing far better than a flat carton, holds its shape through sorting belts and drop tests, and gives the customer something worth opening on camera. Diameters run from 32 mm to 195 mm, so a single tie fits as neatly as a three pack of tees. Minimum order 1,000 pcs, lead time from 4 weeks.

Why apparel brands ship in cylinder boxes

1. Built for the parcel, not the shelf alone

Flat folding cartons fail at the corners. A wound cylinder has no corner to burst and no glued flap to peel open inside a sorting machine, and the spiral wound wall, 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm thick, spreads impact around the full circumference. That matters when a shirt passes through three handovers before it reaches a doorstep.
Specify a snug telescopic lid or metal ends and the pack stays closed without tape. The body can double as its own mailer, with the shipping label applied straight onto the printed surface. Fewer damaged returns, fewer replacement shipments, fewer refunds you absorb.

2. An unboxing that reads as premium

The cylinder gives you one continuous printed band with no corner to interrupt the artwork, which is why so much filmed apparel unboxing starts with a tube. Hot foil stamping, embossing, spot UV and soft touch lamination are available through our printing partners, and the inner face can be printed too, so the reveal is branded before the garment is lifted out.
Kraft and uncoated textured papers signal a natural or heritage positioning without a single claim on the label. A ribbon pull, a printed inner wrap or a card insert slows the moment down and gives the buyer a reason to keep the pack.

3. One format across underwear, socks, ties and tees

We tool the diameter and height around the garment instead of making you fold to a stock size. A single tie or a pair of socks sits in a 45 mm to 60 mm tube, an underwear or lingerie set in 70 mm to 100 mm, a rolled t-shirt in 100 mm to 140 mm, with the range running to 195 mm for multipacks and gift sets.
Rolling rather than flat folding cuts the cubic volume a courier bills you for, and a tighter pack needs less void fill inside the outer carton. Run one diameter across a whole range and change only the print between SKUs.

Paper based, plastic free, traceable

Most apparel still ships inside a polybag no household can recycle. A paper cylinder replaces it with a pack that goes into the same kerbside stream as the outer carton. Our board is FSC® certified under licence code C184527 and traceable to responsibly managed forests, and an all paper build with rolled edge or paper lids gives you a pack with no plastic component at all.
Water based inks and solvent free adhesives are used where the print method allows, and the range is designed to meet the requirements of the EU’s PPWR.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our minimum order quantity is 1,000 pcs per printed design. That covers a custom diameter, height, lid style and finish, so a young apparel label can launch a proper pack without committing to container volumes, while larger brands scale from the same tooling. Lead time starts at 4 weeks from approved artwork and approved mock-up. If you sell several styles, keeping one diameter across the range lets you reach the quantity faster and vary only the print.

Yes, rolled rather than flat folded. A rolled cotton t-shirt in a standard adult size sits comfortably in a 100 mm to 120 mm diameter tube around 240 mm to 300 mm long, and heavier hoodies or multipacks move up towards 140 mm to 195 mm. Send us the garment weight, fabric and fold you want to use and we will confirm the internal dimensions before tooling, or roll a sample garment here and measure it for you.

In most apparel cases yes. The wound wall carries load around the whole circumference rather than at four corners, so it resists the crushing and edge impact that flattens a folding carton in transit. With a telescopic lid or metal ends the pack stays closed without tape, and courier labels apply directly to the printed body. For fragile trims, long distance export or heavy multipacks we would still recommend an outer carton, and we will tell you which case you are in.

Yes. We supply the die-line template for the diameter and height you choose and help place your artwork on it, checking the seam position, lid overlap and bleed before anything goes to print. Printed and unprinted samples are available so your team can judge board, foil and lamination in the hand, and on request we produce a pre-production mock-up of your own design for sign off. Our factory is in Hadımköy, Istanbul, 20 minutes from Istanbul Airport, if you want to see the line.
